The Edge of the Map

from $85.00

The Edge of the Map follows a woman running through a saturated ultramarine landscape formed using the MIGRAR salt technique. Her face disappears behind a bouquet of roses while sections of the environment remain intentionally unfinished, referencing the visual boundaries of early digital worlds where landscapes only appear as the player moves forward.

The work explores intuition, perception, and the human instinct to migrate toward safety before instability becomes fully visible. Balancing domestic symbolism with themes of survival and transformation, the piece reflects on the emotional and psychological realities of crossing into unknown territory.

Acrylic ink, salt, colored pencil, and oil on paper
23 × 30.5 cm
From the MIGRAR Series
